At CHS, our Integrated Design process achieves your dreams in 10 thoughtful steps:
1. Site Review
We take careful measurements of existing conditions, noting structural, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical constraints and opportunities.
2. Architectural Program
Our Design Team will meet with you to refine the architectural program, a prioritized list of your needs and vision for the space.
3. Zoning Analysis
We review zoning constraints of the property, meeting with County staff, as warranted, to ensure there are no unexpected surprises at permit time.
4. Concept Plans
We’ll then develop scaled concept plans for your review. Whether a winning design surfaces right away, or we need to explore and refine further, we will keep working creatively to find the right solution for you.
5. Preliminary Design
Upon selection of a preliminary design, we then turn to ironing out specific details to integrate all facets of construction
6. Materials and Finishes
This is also the point when we work with you to specify materials and finishes, based on your style and budget.
7. Detailed Cost Estimate
We’re now ready to prepare a detailed line item cost estimate for the full scope of work.
8. Construction
Documents
With your approval of the budget, we proceed with preparation of all the necessary documents for permits and construction.
9. Permits
We take care of submitting the plans and obtaining all required permits.
10. Construction
We set a construction start date and schedule. Of course, there are many other steps from here, beginning with a pre-construction meeting to review logistics, dust control, and access to the site, then weekly site review meetings with you, and finally turnkey delivery of your beautiful renovation.
